Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in a customer service role preferred
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
  • positive attitude and friendly demeanor
  • basic computer skills

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in high volume, upscale casual dining or an equivalent service environment preferred
  • able to work flexible shifts and schedules, inclusive of weekends, and some holidays
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 6-8 hours)
  • lift and carry up to 20 lbs (e.g., menus, high chairs, booster seats)
  • reach, bend, and stoop occasionally
  • use hands and arms to operate reservation systems and phones
  • clear verbal communication skills and ability to interact with guests in a busy environment
  • ability to remain calm and composed while multitasking in a fast-paced setting

Job Duties

  • Greet and welcome guests with a friendly and positive attitude, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere
  • manage the waitlist and seating arrangements efficiently, ensuring accurate and timely seating of guests
  • provide accurate and helpful information to guests regarding menus, specials, and restaurant policies
  • maintain cleanliness and organization at the host stand and lobby area, making a great first impression on guests
  • coordinate with the serving staff and kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient flow of guest seating and service
