Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina is a distinguished full-service hotel boasting 595 guest rooms, ideally situated on the scenic Intracoastal waterway and within a short four-minute walk to the Broward Convention Center. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a host/hostess in a restaurant setting
  • Availability to work AM/PM shifts including weekdays, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Basic knowledge of dining operations and seating management
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1 year experience as a host/hostess in a restaurant
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage seating and dining flow
  • Knowledge of Mediterranean cuisine or dining service preferred
  • Ability to perform opening and closing duties
  • Ability to assist with side work duties
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including weekdays, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Welcome guests and ascertain their dining needs
  • Seat guests and manage the seating chart
  • Monitor restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow
  • Perform opening and closing duties as needed
  • Assist others with side work including cleaning, stocking, folding silverware
  • Ensure knowledge of menu
  • Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner
  • Assist fellow team members and other departments to maintain positive working relationships
