Job Description

Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina is a prestigious hotel strategically located on the Intracoastal waterway, just a short four-minute walk from the Broward Convention Center. This expansive hotel features 595 guest rooms, providing guests with a comfortable and luxurious stay. Within the hotel is Olive & Sea, a Mediterranean cuisine restaurant known for its warm hospitality and delicious menu offerings. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • at least one year of relevant hosting experience
  • ability to work morning and evening shifts on weekdays, weekends, and holidays
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • reliable and punctual
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • commitment to delivering exceptional guest service

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum one year of experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant setting
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
  • strong customer service orientation
  • ability to multitask and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
  • knowledge of Mediterranean cuisine is preferred but not required

Job Duties

  • Welcome guests and ascertain their dining needs
  • seat guests and manage the seating chart
  • monitor restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow
  • perform opening and closing duties as needed
  • assist others with side work including cleaning, stocking, folding silverware
  • ensure knowledge of menu
  • respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner
  • assist fellow team members and other departments to maintain positive working relationships
