Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in customer service or hosting preferred
- proficiency in using reservation systems like Yelp
- excellent verbal communication skills
- ability to stand for extended periods
- ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
- ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly
- basic computer literacy
- positive attitude and professionalism
Job Duties
- Develops new ways to drive clients to visit the restaurant and retain existing clients, while building new ones
- Knows all the systems related to the reservation system (Yelp)
- Sets up the host stand and the front door
- Develops a working knowledge of what’s happening in town
- Is responsible for welcoming guests at the door and walking them back to their assigned table, always engaging a conversation during the walk
- Is responsible to enter all reservations into our reservations management system (Yelp)
- Promptly responds to all phone calls related to reservations
- Adheres to all established policies , procedures and guidelines
- Must be observant and quick to respond to various situations while multitasking in a stressful conditions
- Attends and participates in daily pre-shifts and other scheduled meetings
- Acts as an ambassador of the restaurant, marketing it and all products offered to the targeted customer base
- Must be able to work in a fast pace and high –volume environment, in the presence of areas containing second hand smoke, high noise levels, dancing, bright lights, sun, rain and dust
- and communicate during this time, sometimes within a small area
- Performs all opening and closing duties as assigned
- Provide help and support to all fellow team members
