Job Duties
- Suggesting new menu items from limited time offerings
- Receiving payment and making correct change
- Assisting with beverages such as bold, signature or flavored coffees
- Cleaning, completing side work, and organizing supplies as needed
- Willingly assisting other team members without being asked
- Providing total guest satisfaction
- Greeting and welcoming all customers immediately upon arrival and verifying number in their party
- Determining special needs such as high chairs or special menus
- Collecting payment in accordance with established cash handling procedures and handling customer complaints or suggestions appropriately
- Seating customers at tables or booths appropriate for their needs
- Introducing the feature of the day
- Keeping hostess area stocked and clean including to-go items and bakery products
- Handling incoming telephone calls and taking to-go orders
- Maintaining proper supply of clean menus
- Periodically supplying customers with initial beverage suggestions and beverage refills
- Assisting service personnel in clearing and setting tables
- Resolving complaints and notifying manager as necessary
- Assisting other service personnel as needed
