Job Requirements

  • Previous experience in customer service or hospitality
  • Ability to greet and engage guests warmly

  • Availability to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends

Job Duties

  • Greet guests in a warm, friendly, smiling manner
  • Suggest new menu items from limited time offerings
  • Receive payment and make correct change
  • Assist with beverages like bold, signature or flavored coffees
  • Clean, complete side work, and organize supplies as needed
  • Assist other team members willingly without being asked
  • Provide total guest satisfaction
  • Greet and welcome all customers immediately upon arrival and verify number in their party
  • Determine special needs such as high chairs or special menus
  • Collect payment from customers according to established cash handling procedures
  • Inquire about food and service satisfaction
  • Handle customer complaints and suggestions appropriately
  • Seat customers at tables and booths appropriate for their needs and those of the restaurant
  • Introduce feature of the day
  • Keep hostess area stocked and clean, including to-go items and bakery products
  • Handle incoming telephone calls immediately and take to-go orders
  • Maintain proper supply of clean menus
  • Supply customers with initial beverage suggestions and provide beverage order and refills
  • Assist service personnel in clearing and setting tables
  • Resolve complaints and notify the manager of any complaints received
  • Assist other service personnel as needed
