Job Requirements

  • Basic math skills for handling payments and making change
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
  • Willingness to assist and collaborate with other team members

Job Duties

  • Greet and welcome guests warmly and immediately upon arrival
  • Verify party size and determine special needs such as high chairs and special menus
  • Seat customers at appropriate tables or booths and introduce daily features
  • Suggest new menu items and limited-time offers to guests
  • Receive payment and make correct change following cash handling procedures
  • Assist guests with beverage offerings including bold, signature, or flavored coffees
  • Keep hostess area stocked and clean including to-go items and bakery products
  • Handle incoming telephone calls promptly and take to-go orders
  • Maintain a proper supply of clean menus
  • Support service personnel by clearing and setting tables
  • Resolve customer complaints and notify management when necessary
  • Provide total guest satisfaction and assist other team members as needed
