- Previous customer service experience in a hospitality setting advantageous but not required
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with guests and team members
- Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Basic math skills for handling payments and making change
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
- Willingness to assist and collaborate with other team members
Job Duties
- Greet and welcome guests warmly and immediately upon arrival
- Verify party size and determine special needs such as high chairs and special menus
- Seat customers at appropriate tables or booths and introduce daily features
- Suggest new menu items and limited-time offers to guests
- Receive payment and make correct change following cash handling procedures
- Assist guests with beverage offerings including bold, signature, or flavored coffees
- Keep hostess area stocked and clean including to-go items and bakery products
- Handle incoming telephone calls promptly and take to-go orders
- Maintain a proper supply of clean menus
- Support service personnel by clearing and setting tables
- Resolve customer complaints and notify management when necessary
- Provide total guest satisfaction and assist other team members as needed
