Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions
- Availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Friendly and approachable demeanor
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Friendly and positive attitude
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of restaurant operations
Job Duties
- Greet and welcome all customers immediately upon arrival and verify number in their party
- Determine special needs such as high chairs or special menus
- Collect payment from customers following established cash handling procedures
- Inquire about food/service satisfaction and handle complaints or suggestions appropriately
- Seat customers at tables or booths appropriate for their needs and those of the restaurant
- Introduce feature of the day to guests
- Keep hostess area stocked and clean including to-go items and bakery products
- Handle incoming telephone calls immediately and take to-go orders as appropriate
- Maintain proper supply of clean menus
- Provide initial beverage suggestions and offer beverage orders and refills
- Assist service personnel in clearing and setting tables
- Resolve complaints promptly and notify the manager of any complaints received
- Assist other service personnel as needed
- Suggest new menu items from limited time offerings
- Receive payment and make correct change
- Assist with beverages like bold, signature or flavored coffees
- Clean, complete side work and organize supplies as needed
- Willingly assist other team members without being asked
- Provide total guest satisfaction
