Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- no specific prior experience required but customer service experience preferred
- ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- basic math skills
- ability to stand for extended periods
- availability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
- friendly attitude and willingness to assist others
- ability to handle customer complaints professionally and courteously
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- friendly and welcoming demeanor
- ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- basic knowledge of food and beverage service is a plus
Job Duties
- Greet and welcome all customers immediately upon arrival and verify number in their party
- determine special needs such as high chairs and special menus
- seat customers at tables or booths appropriate for their needs and those of the restaurant and introduce feature of the day
- suggest new menu items from limited time offerings
- receive payment and make correct change
- assist with beverages like bold, signature or flavored coffees
- clean, complete side work, and organize supplies as needed
- willingly assist other team members without being asked
- provide total guest satisfaction
- keep hostess area stocked and clean including to-go items and bakery products
- handle incoming telephone calls immediately and take to go orders as appropriate
- maintain proper supply of clean menus
- periodically supply customers with initial beverage suggestions and provide beverage order and refills
- assist service personnel in clearing and setting tables
- resolve complaints as become aware and notify the manager of any complaints received
- assist other service personnel as needed
