Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Friendly and approachable demeanor
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of food service operations
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
Job Duties
- Greet guests warmly and welcome them into the restaurant
- Verify the number of guests and determine special needs such as high chairs or special menus
- Suggest new menu items from limited-time offerings
- Receive payment and make correct change
- Assist with serving beverages including signature and flavored coffees
- Clean, complete side work, and organize supplies as needed
- Assist other team members without being asked
- Provide total guest satisfaction
- Seat customers at appropriate tables or booths and introduce daily features
- Keep hostess area stocked and clean including to-go items and bakery products
- Handle incoming telephone calls and take to-go orders
- Maintain proper supply of clean menus
- Periodically provide beverage suggestions and refills
- Assist service personnel in clearing and setting tables
- Resolve guest complaints promptly and notify manager
- Assist other service personnel as needed
