Job Requirements
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
- must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process
- requires good communication skills, both verbal and written
- must possess basic computational ability
- must possess computer skills
- knowledge of reservations system
- knowledge of Microsoft Office functions
- ability to describe all menu items, prices and methods of preparation
- ability to use suggestive selling techniques to encourage members to choose specialties
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- previous fine dining and/or banquet experience
- minimum two years of experience as a head waiter or wait staff supervisor in a fine dining venue
- good verbal and written communication skills
- basic computational ability
- computer skills including knowledge of reservation systems and Microsoft Office functions
Job Duties
- Greet and seat members and their guests
- manage the flow of covers for each server station
- assist food and beverage leaders in daily creation of menus and floor diagrams
- be the first line of defense for the club’s dress code and technology policy
- maintain proper condition and cleanliness of the host stand and its surroundings
- describe all menu items, prices and methods of preparation
- perform other appropriate duties assigned by the food and beverage manager
