Job Duties
- Greeting and welcoming guests immediately upon arrival and verifying party size
- Determining special needs such as high chairs or special menus
- Suggesting new menu items from limited time offerings
- Receiving payments and making correct change following cash handling procedures
- Assisting with beverage service including bold, signature, or flavored coffees
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the host area and restocking supplies
- Assisting other team members proactively without being asked
- Seating customers appropriately and introducing daily features
- Handling incoming telephone calls and taking to-go orders
- Ensuring menus are clean and adequately supplied
- Providing beverage suggestions and refills
- Helping service personnel with clearing and setting tables
- Resolving complaints and notifying management as necessary
