- Ability to greet and interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Basic math skills for handling payments

Job Duties
- Greet guests warmly and welcome them into the restaurant
- Verify the number of guests in their party and determine special needs such as high chairs or special menus
- Seat customers at appropriate tables or booths and introduce feature of the day
- Suggest new menu items from limited time offerings
- Receive payment and make correct change in accordance with cash handling procedures
- Assist with beverages including bold, signature, or flavored coffees
- Keep hostess area stocked and clean, organizing supplies as needed
- Handle incoming telephone calls and take to-go orders as appropriate
- Provide total guest satisfaction by engaging in friendly conversation and assisting service personnel
- Resolve customer complaints and notify management as needed
