Job Duties
- Suggesting new menu items from limited time offerings
- Receiving payment and making correct change
- Assisting with beverages like bold, signature or flavored coffees
- Cleaning, completing side work, and organizing supplies as needed
- Willingly assisting other team members without being asked
- Providing total guest satisfaction
- Greeting and welcoming customers immediately upon arrival and verifying party size
- Determining special needs such as high chairs or special menus
- Collecting payment in accordance with cash handling procedures
- Inquiring about food/service satisfaction and handling complaints or suggestions appropriately
- Seating customers at appropriate tables or booths and introducing features of the day
- Keeping hostess area stocked and clean including to-go items and bakery products
- Handling incoming telephone calls and taking to-go orders as appropriate
- Maintaining a proper supply of clean menus
- Offering beverage suggestions and providing orders and refills
- Assisting service personnel in clearing and setting tables
- Resolving complaints and notifying management
- Assisting other service personnel as needed
