Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to greet customers warmly and engage in friendly conversation
Basic math skills for handling cash transactions
Must be able to stand for extended periods
Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

Greeting guests in a warm, friendly, smiling manner that welcomes them into the restaurant
Suggesting new menu items from limited time offerings
Receiving payment and making correct change
Assisting with beverages like bold, signature or flavored coffees
Cleaning, completing side work, and organizing supplies as needed
Willingly assisting other team members without being asked
Providing total guest satisfaction
Greeting and welcoming all customers immediately upon arrival and verifying number in their party
Determining special needs such as high chairs or special menus
Collecting payment from customers according to cash handling procedures
Inquiring about food/service satisfaction and handling complaints or suggestions
Seating customers at tables or booths appropriate for their needs and the restaurant's
Introducing feature of the day
Keeping hostess area stocked and clean including to-go items and bakery products
Handling incoming telephone calls and taking to-go orders
Maintaining proper supply of clean menus
Periodically supplying customers with initial beverage suggestions and providing refills
Assisting service personnel in clearing and setting tables
Resolving complaints promptly and notifying the manager of any complaints received
Assisting other service personnel as needed
