Job Requirements
- Must be able to stand, lift, and bend for extended periods
- must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- ability to perform repetitive motions
- exposure to hot kitchen elements and cleaning materials
- ability to work flexible schedules including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- completion of Tao Group Hospitality in-venue host training
Job Qualifications
- Previous hospitality experience
- previous host experience
- experience in high-volume restaurant, nightclub, or lounge
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- strong communication skills
- positive and professional attitude
- knowledge of health and safety standards
Job Duties
- Guide guests to tables as directed by the maitre d
- interact with guests, employees, and supervisors in a polite, courteous, and hospitable manner
- maintain professional appearance standards
- anticipate and accommodate the needs of guests
- maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the entrance area
- comply with health and sanitation standards
- take and process reservations
- assist with incoming calls and answer guest questions
- check guests’ coats and belongings where applicable
- assist with setting up front desk area
- perform side-work and opening/closing procedures as directed by management
- ensure menus are printed and ready
- organize menu books with current menus
- collect menus during shifts
- report breakage or damage immediately to management
- attend and participate in pre-service meetings
- engage in training sessions
- demonstrate knowledge of company brands and supporting hotel environments
- work as part of a team and support fellow members
