Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • restaurant, retail, or cashier experience preferred but not required
  • ability to communicate effectively with multiple guests while generating enthusiasm for Dave & Buster's
  • ability to read and communicate in English
  • ability to remain friendly and smile frequently
  • ability to calmly respond to dissatisfied guests and escalate issues
  • ability to follow dress guidelines and maintain professional appearance
  • minimum age of 16 years

Job Duties

  • deliver an unparalleled guest experience through the best combination of food, drinks and games
  • greet guests with a positive attitude and enthusiasm while coordinating game rentals, merchandise sales, and telephones
  • keep immediate supervisor informed of problems or unusual matters and take prompt corrective action or suggest alternatives
  • bid farewell to guests leaving and ensure satisfaction
  • prepare for the shift by stocking supplies including menus, silverware, power cards, gift cards
  • review cleanliness and organization of front desk and host station
  • ensure all menus are stocked, cleaned and maintained
  • check and restock necessary supplies
  • bring all areas up to standard
  • discuss problem areas with manager
  • conduct merchandise inventory during and after shifts if applicable
  • maintain favorable working relationships with team members
  • notify manager of unhappy guests
  • assist other team members as needed
  • drive table turn timing by scouting open tables, bussing and cleaning
  • rotate seating following guidelines to ensure fairness
  • manage flow from front doors by assisting guests and directing traffic
  • communicate wait times to guests, team members, and managers
  • deliver silverware as guests are seated
  • make timely and accurate bill calculations
  • greet and assist guests efficiently and with a smile while processing transactions
  • reconcile monies from their banks
  • complete to go order transactions and ensure accuracy
  • sell merchandise from the front desk if applicable
  • maintain friendly demeanor and frequent smiling
  • communicate effectively with multiple guests
  • dress neat, clean, and professional
  • read and communicate clearly in English
  • articulate greetings, requests, and farewells
  • respond calmly to dissatisfied guests and alert managers
  • be at least 16 years of age
