Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Ability to work days, nights, and/or weekends as required
  • Ability to work in noisy, fast paced environment with distracting conditions
  • Must be able to read and write handwritten notes
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to move about facility and stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to walk or stand 100 percent of shift
  • Ability to reach, bend, and stoop frequently

Job Qualifications

  • Restaurant, retail, or cashier experience preferred, but not required
  • Strong communication skills

Job Duties

  • Deliver an unparalleled Guest experience through the best combination of food, drinks and games in an ideal environment for celebrating all out fun
  • Act as ambassador to the building, greeting Guests with a positive attitude and enthusiasm while coordinating game rentals, merchandise sales, and telephones
  • Keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and take prompt corrective action where necessary or suggest alternative courses of action
  • Bid farewell to Guests leaving, ensure everything was satisfactory and invite Guests to return
  • Prepare for the shift by ensuring area is stocked with supplies: menus, silverware, Power cards, gift cards etc
  • Review the cleanliness and organization of the Front Desk and Host station
  • Ensure all menus are stocked and properly cleaned and maintained
  • Check for restocking of necessary supplies
  • Bring all areas up to standard
  • Discuss problem areas with Manager
  • Conduct merchandise inventory during and after shift, if applicable
  • Maintain a favorable working relationship with all other company Team Members to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate that will be conducive to maximum Team Member morale, productivity and efficiency/effectiveness
  • Notify Manager of any Guest that is perceived to be unhappy
  • Assist other Team Members as needed or as business dictates
  • Drive table turn timing by scouting open tables, bussing and cleaning tables as necessary
  • Rotate seating appropriately following guidelines to ensure fairness and balance in the dining areas
  • Manage flow from the front doors, efficiently helping Guests with needs and directing as needed
  • Manage wait times and communicate information as needed to Guests, Team Members, and Managers
  • Deliver silverware as Guests are seated
  • Make timely and accurate calculations of bill transactions
  • Greet and assist Guests efficiently and with a smile while processing transactions
  • Be responsible for the reconciliation of any monies from their banks
  • Complete “To Go” order transactions for Guests and ensure accuracy
  • Sell merchandise from the Front Desk, if applicable
  • Be friendly and able to smile frequently
  • Communicate effectively with multiple Guests while generating enthusiasm for Dave & Buster’s
  • Dress in accordance with dress guidelines, looking neat, clean, and professional at all times
  • Demonstrate ability to read and communicate in English
  • Articulate clear greetings, requests for assistance, and farewells to Guests
  • Be skilled at calmly responding to dissatisfied Guests and calling issues to Manager's attention
  • Must be at least 16 years of age
