Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous work experience as a host is preferred
  • Working knowledge of OpenTable and Point of Sale is preferred
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to handle cash and paperwork accurately
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be able to perform under pressure in a high-volume restaurant setting
  • Must be able to handle guest incidents/complaints

Job Duties

  • Greet guests in a warm and friendly manner as they arrive at the restaurant
  • Seat guests efficiently, manage seating chart, and ensure optimal flow of diners
  • Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting list
  • Manage reservations using OpenTable
  • Answer incoming calls and respond to guest inquiries courteously
  • Receive, process, and manage takeout and delivery orders
  • Assemble and package orders paying attention to packaging techniques to avoid spills, leaks, or damage during transportation
  • Process payments for takeout orders, including cash, credit/debit, and digital payment methods
  • Ensure accurate cash handling and proper reconciliation of sales at the end of each shift
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned
