Job Requirements
- High school education or equivalent
- Six to twelve months of experience in restaurant or food and beverage roles
- Valid Food Handlers Permit
- Valid Responsible Beverage Service Permit
- Flexible schedule including weekdays, weekends, holidays, and evenings
- Ability to carry and balance a tray
- Ability to accurately process cash and credit card transactions
- Must have valid US work authorization
- Proficiency in English language
Job Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent experience
- Six to twelve months of restaurant, food and beverage, or equivalent experience
- Possession of Food Handlers Permit
- Possession of Responsible Beverage Service Permit
- Strong computer skills
- Strong problem solving skills
- Ability to multitask in a high volume environment
- Proficiency in reading, writing and oral English
Job Duties
- Seat guests promptly at tables pre-set for party size and guest preferences
- Set up host stand, review reservation book, and make room setup recommendations
- Manage restaurant capacity and guest profiles using software
- Answer telephones and emails, take guest reservations, provide restaurant and hotel information
- Anticipate guest needs, handle inquiries, recognize regular guests by name
- Inspect and maintain menu quality, condition, and appearance
- Comply with company work rules and standards of conduct
- Work harmoniously with coworkers and supervisors
- Complete special projects such as menu changes and signage
- Ensure proper table setup with minor adjustments
- Take guests orders and assist with plating and food preparation
- Assist food and beverage areas during peak times as needed
- Perform other tasks assigned by management
