Job Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Six to twelve months of experience in restaurant or food and beverage roles
  • Valid Food Handlers Permit
  • Valid Responsible Beverage Service Permit
  • Flexible schedule including weekdays, weekends, holidays, and evenings
  • Ability to carry and balance a tray
  • Ability to accurately process cash and credit card transactions
  • Must have valid US work authorization
  • Proficiency in English language

Job Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent experience
  • Six to twelve months of restaurant, food and beverage, or equivalent experience
  • Possession of Food Handlers Permit
  • Possession of Responsible Beverage Service Permit
  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to multitask in a high volume environment
  • Proficiency in reading, writing and oral English

Job Duties

  • Seat guests promptly at tables pre-set for party size and guest preferences
  • Set up host stand, review reservation book, and make room setup recommendations
  • Manage restaurant capacity and guest profiles using software
  • Answer telephones and emails, take guest reservations, provide restaurant and hotel information
  • Anticipate guest needs, handle inquiries, recognize regular guests by name
  • Inspect and maintain menu quality, condition, and appearance
  • Comply with company work rules and standards of conduct
  • Work harmoniously with coworkers and supervisors
  • Complete special projects such as menu changes and signage
  • Ensure proper table setup with minor adjustments
  • Take guests orders and assist with plating and food preparation
  • Assist food and beverage areas during peak times as needed
  • Perform other tasks assigned by management
