Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Six months experience in food service or applicable customer service required
- Food Handlers Certificate (FHC) within 30 days of hire required
- Ability to comply with hand hygiene and PPE protocols
- Ability to work rotating part-time schedule including weekends
- Good physical stamina to perform job duties
- Ability to follow food safety standards according to HACCP
Job Qualifications

- Six months experience in a food service or applicable customer service role
- Ability to follow food safety and hygiene protocols
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic knowledge of diet therapy to assist patients
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-volume environment
Job Duties
- Serve patient meals and assist with set up and snack preparation accurately and timely according to procedures
- Return to patient rooms within a reasonable period to pick up dirty trays and confirm satisfaction
- Comply with hand hygiene, patient identification, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements
- Utilize basic diet therapy training to assist patients in selecting correct menu items
- Maintain food safety requirements according to HACCP and department standards
- Keep work area clean and orderly ensuring health department and facility compliance
- Monitor, prepare, and deliver floor stock to designated units following FIFO and check for expired or prohibited items
- Check and log refrigerator and freezer temperatures on nursing units
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills at point of service and in resolving complaints or questions following AIDET principles
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
