Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old
- previous host or hospitality experience in a high-volume restaurant or lounge preferred
- ability to stand, lift, and bend for extended periods
- ability to lift up to 50 lbs

- ability to work and remain focused in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
- ability to work a flexible schedule including varying shifts such as days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties
- Maintain professional appearance standards as directed in the Employee Handbook
- anticipate and accommodate needs of the guest while providing professional and exceptional service
- provide guests with basic food and beverage information including special offerings and display upselling skills
- assign seating considering service standards, staffing levels, and kitchen capacity
- set up the host stand, review the reservation book, and maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the area throughout the shift
- assist with incoming calls and answer questions from guests and confirm reservations
- seat reservations promptly at a table pre-set for the number in the party and hold chairs for guests when seating them
- protect establishment, guests, and employees by adhering to Department of Health and company sanitation standards
- actively take and process reservations for guests, special orders, and pre-payment information
- perform side-work and other opening and closing procedures as directed by management
- ensure all menus are organized and current, take weekly inventory of menu paper, menu backs, and desk stationery
- report all breakage and damage of equipment or furniture immediately to management
- attend and participate in daily pre-service meetings
- update knowledge by participating in staff training opportunities
- portray a positive and professional attitude
