Job Requirements

  • County of San Diego Food Handler Card
  • high school diploma, certificate of completion, or GED preferred
  • guest or hospitality service experience preferred
  • restaurant server experience preferred
  • casino experience preferred
  • 6 months cash handling experience preferred
  • ability to appear for work on time
  • multi-lingual skills a plus

  • ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
  • ability to bend, stoop, push and pull

Job Duties

  • Greets and seats guests
  • verifies guest identification for age compliance
  • enters guest count into seating program
  • pages servers and guests
  • responds to guest requests
  • promotes guest relations by answering questions and providing information on menus and promotions
  • maintains safe and sanitary dining areas by cleaning and setting tables
  • stocks and cleans host/hostess stations
  • processes accounting transactions during shift including cash handling and cashier drawer balancing
  • ensures responsible alcohol service following policies in alcohol venues
  • monitors guest alcohol consumption and stops service as required
  • clears alcoholic containers and maintains venue cleanliness
