Job Duties
- Complete and pass required training modules both initial and ongoing
- know work schedule for the week, arrive on time, and meet uniform and appearance standards
- create a positive first impression and exceed guest expectations at the front desk and waiting areas
- check reservation list and coordinate with managers to anticipate guest flow and special events
- obtain station assignments for servers and bussers from manager
- complete opening, side, and closing duties timely and according to standards
- assist manager in planning reservations and assigning tables to parties and servers
- answer phone professionally and take reservations accurately
- acknowledge and greet arriving guests, invite departing guests to return
- assist guests with coat check as needed
- escort guests to assigned table and present menus
- control flow of business by practicing rotation seating and following reservation plans
- re-set tables and perform dining room maintenance
- quote waiting times accurately and maintain waiting list
- maintain safety, cleanliness, and organization of host stand and lobby
- assist with Platinum Club service and encourage membership
- work meetings, banquets, and special events as scheduled
- communicate guest requests and complaints to managers
- support team members and perform other duties assigned by managers
- follow Eddie Merlot's policies, procedures, standards, and regulations at all times
