Job Requirements

  • High school diploma preferred
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Valid driver’s license
  • 18 plus years of age
  • Possession or ability to possess all required state work cards
  • Minimum of one year related experience
  • Familiarity with OpenTable
  • Knowledge of proper lifting techniques
  • Strong guest relations skills
  • Understanding of sanitation and safety standards
  • Experience in safe alcohol service
  • Knowledge of full service restaurant operations
  • Effective and assertive communication skills in English both verbally and in writing

Job Duties

  • Greet guests immediately upon arrival
  • Inform guests when their table is ready and invite them to the table
  • Carry guests' drinks to their seats or tables from the bar area and transfer tabs if needed
  • Pull out chairs and tables to assist guests in seating
  • Answer calls promptly and politely
  • Utilize all tables on rotation to maximize guest turnover and maintain a smooth flow
  • Keep host stand organized and stocked
  • Move furniture as directed by management
  • Tour restaurant regularly to identify empty tables
  • Respond to guest concerns and complaints with a positive attitude and escalate as necessary
  • Complete opening, running, and closing side work duties
  • Assist teammates with side work upon request
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned
