Job Requirements

  • High school diploma preferred
  • minimum of one year related experience
  • proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • valid driver’s license
  • 18+ years of age
  • possession or ability to obtain state-required work cards
  • familiarity with OpenTable
  • knowledge of proper lifting techniques
  • strong guest relations skills
  • understanding of sanitation and safety
  • knowledge of safe alcohol service
  • experience in full-service restaurant operations
  • effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written

Job Duties

  • Greet guests immediately upon arrival
  • inform guests when their table is ready and invite them to their seats
  • carry guests' drinks to their tables from the bar area and transfer their tab if needed
  • pull out chairs and tables to assist guests in seating
  • answer calls promptly and politely
  • utilize table rotation to maximize guest turnover and maintain restaurant flow
  • keep the host stand organized and well-stocked
  • move furniture as directed by management
  • tour the restaurant periodically to identify empty tables
  • respond to guest concerns and resolve complaints positively, escalating to management if necessary
  • complete opening, running, and closing side work duties
  • assist teammates with side work duties when requested
  • perform additional tasks as assigned
