Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED unless waived
Six months cash handling and guest service experience
Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screen
Must pass background investigation
Must obtain and maintain gaming license
Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds
Must work nights, weekends and holidays
Ability to handle cash accurately
Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to work in noisy and smoky environments

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or GED
Six months of cash handling and guest service experience
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Ability to provide excellent guest service
ServSafe certification preferred
Food and beverage work experience preferred
Ability to operate cash register
Knowledge of basic math and arithmetic
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Ability to maintain professional relationships with coworkers
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Ability to interpret written and oral instructions
Willingness to learn and maintain positive attitude

Job Duties

Provide prompt courteous guest service at all times following the casino's guest service standards including proper greeting and farewell
Answer phones and respond to guest requests
Meet arriving customers as they enter restaurant with a cordial greeting
Escort customers to assigned tables, issue menus and solicit rapport to accommodate special needs or requests
Maintain a highly visible appearance in restaurant during entire shift by remaining at cashier station and periodically circulating through the restaurant to assist servers or respond to customer requests
Assess operation efficiency and report to management
Solicit feedback from departing customers on products and services to improve operation efficiencies, increase customer base and maximize revenues
Take written notes on customer comments and report to management
Collect payment, operate a cash register and give accurate change
Balance and reconcile computerized and manual reports at end of shift for accounting
Attend and participate in staff meetings
Answer questions from customers regarding casino and restaurant policies, procedures and special events
Respond to and resolve customer issues and disputes, contact supervisor as needed
Maintain restaurant cleanliness by assisting with vacuuming, sweeping, general cleaning and side work
Check table and seating setup before opening
Report maintenance or housekeeping discrepancies
Exhibit professional appearance and courteous demeanor
Follow safety and customer service guidelines
Contribute to team efforts and accomplish related results
Record transactions in point of sale system
Assist guests and servers on floor with food and beverage orders
Assist beverage service
Keep work area clean and stocked
Prepare area for next shift
Clean tables and menus
Maintain knowledge of all menu items and POS equipment
Process to-go orders and assist with catering deliveries
Assist servers, porters, bussers with catering events
Perform other duties as required
