Job Duties

  • Provide an exceptional guest experience
  • maintain the company image and vision statement
  • participate in ongoing training and encourage personal development of associates
  • greet guests at the door and escort or direct them to a table
  • set tables according to service standards
  • introduce guests to their server as they sit down
  • communicate with kitchen regarding guest counts and wait times for tables
  • always smile and greet guests with a warm welcome
  • check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and beverages
  • maintain cleanliness of work areas and hostess stand throughout the day
  • make silverware roll ups throughout the shift
  • ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
  • welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
  • run food and bus tables when extra time is available
  • anticipate and address guests’ service needs
  • check restrooms and restaurant perimeter every 30 minutes for cleanliness
  • thank guests with genuine appreciation
  • perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors
  • adhere to departmental policies and procedures
  • effectively communicate with peers, management, and front of house employees
  • be responsible for cleanliness of immediate work area and general property perimeter
  • subscribe to proper grooming, dress, and uniform standards
  • be courteous to guests and coworkers
  • be familiar with all hotel services, features, and local attractions to respond to guest inquiries
