Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a host/hostess role or customer service is preferred
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Basic knowledge of reservation and seating management
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to stand and move for extended periods
- Good interpersonal skills
- Willingness to learn and participate in ongoing training
Job Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
- Friendly and approachable demeanor
- Basic computer skills for managing reservations
- Knowledge of restaurant seating and reservation systems is an advantage
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
Job Duties
- Create a warm and inviting welcome for our guests and establish memorable first impressions
- Work with management, servers, bussers, food runners, and bartenders to create a seamless dining experience for our guests
- Coordinate reservations, walk ins, and guest waits with guests' preferences, thorough knowledge of seating capacity and server availability while maximizing table turns
- Coordinate reservation booking procedures, practices, and overall restaurant revenue management
- Answer telephone calls and handle restaurant inquiries with a smile and eagerness to assist
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of host stand and entrance of the restaurant
- Continually update table statuses, help fellow employees, and complete additional assigned tasks to provide a productive and positive work environment
- Attend educational/developmental sessions as required
