Job Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods and manage a fast-paced environment
Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Basic proficiency with reservation and point-of-sale systems
Experience working as a host or in a similar front-of-house position in the hospitality industry
Familiarity with multiple reservation management software platforms
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
Knowledge of local dining trends and customer service best practices

Job Duties

Greet guests promptly and courteously upon arrival, providing a warm and professional welcome
Manage reservations and walk-in guest seating to optimize table turnover and minimize wait times
Maintain an organized waitlist and communicate estimated wait times clearly to guests
Coordinate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure seamless service flow
Answer phone calls to handle reservations, inquiries, and special requests efficiently
Monitor the dining area to anticipate guest needs and address any concerns proactively
Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up the host station and maintaining cleanliness
