Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- basic mathematical skills
- ability to stand and move for extended periods
- knowledge of restaurant floor plans and seating procedures preferred
- ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- strong sense of integrity and honesty
Job Duties
- Stand and exert fast-paced mobility through the dining room for up to 8 or more hours
- speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and employees
- carry silverware and dishes up to 35lbs
- speak, read, and understand the primary language of the workplace
- perform simple mathematical calculations
- communicate effectively with guests
- make guests feel appreciated
- select appropriate table using rotation and guest requests
- escort guests to tables and provide menus and silverware
- inform guests of server’s name
- monitor dining room for issues
- manage wait when necessary
- work as a team with all personnel
- perform 20-minute restroom checks and customer counts including open menu counts
- treat all applicants as restaurant guests and inform manager
- maintain proper telephone etiquette and handle caller needs
- manage special seating requests
- assist servers and server assistants as needed
- perform other duties assigned by manager
