Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • basic mathematical skills
  • ability to stand and move for extended periods
  • knowledge of restaurant floor plans and seating procedures preferred
  • ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • strong sense of integrity and honesty

Job Duties

  • Stand and exert fast-paced mobility through the dining room for up to 8 or more hours
  • speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and employees
  • carry silverware and dishes up to 35lbs
  • speak, read, and understand the primary language of the workplace
  • perform simple mathematical calculations
  • communicate effectively with guests
  • make guests feel appreciated
  • select appropriate table using rotation and guest requests
  • escort guests to tables and provide menus and silverware
  • inform guests of server’s name
  • monitor dining room for issues
  • manage wait when necessary
  • work as a team with all personnel
  • perform 20-minute restroom checks and customer counts including open menu counts
  • treat all applicants as restaurant guests and inform manager
  • maintain proper telephone etiquette and handle caller needs
  • manage special seating requests
  • assist servers and server assistants as needed
  • perform other duties assigned by manager
