Job Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- high school education or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience
- basic computer skills
- able to deal with guests in a professional manner while maintaining a composed demeanor in high stress situations
- ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 20 pounds on a regular basis
- frequent long periods of standing and walking are expected during the workday
- ability to reach for objects and stoop or bend as needed to perform job duties
- this position may involve visual and auditory tasks including the ability to see and hear adequately to perform job functions
Job Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience in a customer service or hospitality role
- basic computer skills
- ability to interact professionally with guests
- strong organizational skills
- ability to work effectively under pressure
- good communication and interpersonal skills
Job Duties
- Greet guests upon arrival in accordance with restaurant standards
- answer telephone calls and take reservations
- maintain an accurate waitlist as needed and alert guests when their table is ready
- receive payments and process transactions according to established policies and procedures
- complete all opening and closing paperwork and perform assigned side work
- process take-out orders as needed and use suggestive selling techniques
- assist with clearing and resetting tables and help with opening tasks such as assigning stations to servers
- ensure waitstaff stations are clean and stocked throughout the shift
- check all menus for cleanliness and accuracy and notify the manager if replacements are needed
- participate in cleaning or reorganization projects as necessary
- handle guest complaints, accommodate special requests, and assist with other duties as assigned
