Job Requirements

Must be of at least 16 years of age
Ability to learn Point of Sale system and basic guest service standards
Must have a basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions
Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system
Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours)
Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food frequently weighing up to 20 to 25 pounds

Job Duties

Welcome and greet guests enthusiastically with a warm friendly smile in accordance with the script provided by Management
Make all our guests feel comfortable and let them know you are there to personally take care of them
Comply with standard grooming and dress code policies expressed in the Employee Handbook
Develop personal relationships with guests and ensure that they have a positive and memorable experience
Polish and prepare silverware used in service
Check tables for clean and proper set up before seating guest
Conform to acceptable attendance and punctuality standards as expressed in the Employee Handbook
Report all unsatisfactory customer experiences to restaurant manager
Inform guests of specials and menu changes
Learn the menu and all of its items so that you can make recommendations you genuinely feel your guests will enjoy
Answer questions about our food, beverages and other restaurant functions and services
Let your guests know about future events and promotions and encourage them to attend
Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by service station assignment
Maintain clean service areas
Be ready and willing to assist fellow servers as situations arise
Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return
Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor
