Job Requirements
- Must have a valid form of identification
- May require a food handler's certification depending on local regulations
- Must have the knowledge to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Must have the knowledge to calculate figures such as discounts and tips
- Must apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Must be able to stand, walk, reach, handle objects, talk, hear, taste and smell regularly
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and occasionally lift or carry up to 50 pounds
- Must occasionally sit, climb stairs, and maintain balance
- Must have close, distance, and peripheral vision including depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Must have sufficient mobility or agility to respond quickly to emergencies
- Must be able to work efficiently under pressure
- Must be flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Guest service experience in hospitality industry is preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with polite and attentive demeanor
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
- Basic understanding of cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic knowledge of English with ability to read, understand and follow verbal and written instructions
- Knowledge of government policies and regulations relevant to the role
- Ability to use Toast POS, Restaurant365, and OpenTable systems
Job Duties
- Ensure dress code policy is followed consistently
- Interact with guest, create reservations
- Assess guest needs and requirements for an unforgettable experience
- Inform manager and servers/bartenders of guest special occasions
- Keep host stand clean and organized
- Ensure menus are clean and ready for service
- Perform daily and weekly cleaning duties, as well as periodical bathroom checks
- Rotate seating between different sections to ensure even workloads for servers
