  • Experience working as a host or in a similar front-of-house position in the hospitality industry
  • Familiarity with multiple reservation management software platforms
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Knowledge of local dining trends and customer service best practices

Job Duties

  • Greet guests promptly and courteously upon arrival, providing a warm and professional welcome
  • Manage reservations and walk-in guest seating to optimize table turnover and minimize wait times
  • Maintain an organized waitlist and communicate estimated wait times clearly to guests
  • Coordinate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure seamless service flow
  • Answer phone calls to handle reservations, inquiries, and special requests efficiently
  • Monitor the dining area to anticipate guest needs and address any concerns proactively
  • Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up the host station and maintaining cleanliness
