Job Requirements
- A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with all restaurant staff
- Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
- Able to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system
- Restaurant experience a plus
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality a plus
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Basic knowledge of point-of-sale systems
- Friendly and professional demeanor
Job Duties
- Greeting guests as they enter and putting them on a waiting list as necessary
- Seating guests at tables and providing menus
- Assigning guests to tables they prefer while keeping table rotation in mind so that servers receive the right number of customers
- Answering phone calls and taking orders to go
- Maintaining knowledge of the menu
- Operating the point-of-sale system accurately
- Assisting with managing the flow of customers during busy periods
