Job Requirements

  • Ability to take direction and to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
  • Commitment to quality service, and food and beverage knowledge
  • Knowledge and comprehension of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures
  • Basic English language and professional communication skills are required
  • Able to independently lift to 15lbs for an extended period
  • Ability to stand, walk and climb stairs with food items and dishes throughout your shift
  • Must be able to walk and/or stand for 8-10 hours per day
  • Hand-eye coordination
  • Reaching, bending twisting, stooping
  • Pushing and pulling
  • Lifting overhead
  • Must be able to climb stairs in restaurants that have multiple levels

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in hospitality or customer service is an asset
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and polite under pressure
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage services
  • Familiarity with safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Greet and welcome guests with a friendly and hospitable attitude
  • Explain Nando's unique service style to guests in a clear and approachable manner
  • Manage the flow of guests in the dining room, accommodating special needs and ensuring satisfaction
  • Recognize and engage both regular and first-time guests to create a personal experience
  • Maintain poise and superior service standards even under pressure
  • Communicate effectively with team members and guests
  • Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures
