Job Requirements
- Ability to take direction and to work in a team environment
- Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
- Commitment to quality service, and food and beverage knowledge
- Knowledge and comprehension of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures
- Basic English language and professional communication skills are required
- Able to independently lift to 15lbs for an extended period
- Ability to stand, walk and climb stairs with food items and dishes throughout your shift
- Must be able to walk and/or stand for 8-10 hours per day
- Hand-eye coordination
- Reaching, bending twisting, stooping
- Pushing and pulling
- Lifting overhead
- Must be able to climb stairs in restaurants that have multiple levels
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in hospitality or customer service is an asset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and polite under pressure
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage services
- Familiarity with safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to work as part of a team
Job Duties
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly and hospitable attitude
- Explain Nando's unique service style to guests in a clear and approachable manner
- Manage the flow of guests in the dining room, accommodating special needs and ensuring satisfaction
- Recognize and engage both regular and first-time guests to create a personal experience
- Maintain poise and superior service standards even under pressure
- Communicate effectively with team members and guests
- Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures
