- Experience working as a host or in a similar front-of-house role in the hospitality industry
- Knowledge of multiple reservation and seating management software platforms
- Bilingual abilities to assist a diverse guest population
- Training or certification in customer service or hospitality management
- Ability to handle conflict resolution and maintain composure under pressure
Job Duties
- Greet guests promptly and courteously upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression
- Manage waitlists using the establishment's booking system to optimize seating capacity
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to maintain efficient table turnover and guest flow
- Provide guests with accurate wait time estimates and accommodate special requests when possible
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host station and entrance area
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve any seating-related issues professionally and promptly
- Assist in managing phone calls related to reservations and general guest information
