Job Requirements

  • Must have a valid form of identification
  • ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measurement using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • knowledge to calculate discounts and tips
  • ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
  • ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • flexibility to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • may require a food handler's certification depending on local regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Guest service experience in hospitality industry preferred
  • basic understanding of cleanliness and sanitation standards
  • excellent customer service skills with a polite and attentive demeanor
  • ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • strong organizational skills with ability to multitask
  • flexibility to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • basic knowledge of English preferred
  • ability to read, understand and follow verbal and written company directives
  • knowledge of government policies and regulations
  • ability to effectively answer questions and communicate with managers, clients, customers, and the public
  • able to learn and utilize Toast POS, Restaurant365 systems, and OpenTable

Job Duties

  • Ensure dress code policy is followed consistently
  • interact with guests, create reservations
  • assess guest needs and requirements for an unforgettable experience
  • inform manager and servers/bartenders of guest special occasions
  • keep host stand clean and organized
  • ensure menus are clean and ready for service
  • perform daily and weekly cleaning duties, as well as periodical bathroom checks
  • rotate seating between different sections to ensure even workloads for servers
