Job Requirements
- Must be 16 years or older
- Must be able to open doors for guests
- Must accommodate special needs of guests
- Must manage wait list during busy times
- Must provide assistance to servers
- Must maintain cleanliness and organization in work area
- Must fill out feature board and inflate balloons
- Must have good reading, writing, and verbal communication skills
- Must be mobile throughout the shift
- Must be able to carry objects up to 15 pounds
- Must be able to wipe down tables and seats
- Must be able to stand for up to four hours
- Must be able to communicate clearly and listen attentively
Job Qualifications
- Reading, writing and verbal communication skills required
- Mobility required during the entire shift
- Ability to transport and carry objects such as highchairs up to 15 pounds up to 15 times a shift
- Ability to wipe down tabletops, table legs, pick up debris off the floor and wipe down booth seats in all areas of the restaurant
- Must be able to stand and maintain well-paced mobility for periods up to four hours
- Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and other employees
- Prior experience as a host, hostess, greeter, or maitre d preferred but not required
Job Duties
- Opens door for guests arriving and departing
- Accommodates any special needs of guests such as boosters, highchairs, disabilities
- Manages the wait list when the restaurant is full
- Provides guest assistance to servers as needed
- Maintains a clean and organized work area and completes cleaning as assigned
- Fills out the feature board and inflates balloons
