Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 months experience in cash handling and customer service roles
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations related to cash management
- Knowledge of computerized cash register systems
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English
- Ability to handle physical demands including standing for entire shifts, lifting trays up to 10 pounds, and using hands to operate cash registers and handle utensils
- Capable of working in a dynamic and sometimes stressful customer service environment
- Willingness to assist in cleaning and maintaining a tidy restaurant environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience with heavy cash handling and customer service exposure
- Mathematical aptitude suitable for cash handling
- Knowledge of standard cash handling procedures and computerized cash register systems
- Basic understanding of customer service skills, restaurant operations, and food service principles
- Ability to communicate effectively and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Professional appearance and courteous attitude
Job Duties
- Greet arriving customers with cordial welcome
- Escort customers to assigned tables, issue menus, and accommodate special requests
- Assign seating sections and notify servers of new guests
- Maintain a visible presence in the restaurant while assisting servers and responding to customer requests
- Receive payments and accurately process transactions using computerized cash registers
- Verify accuracy of guest checks including pricing, discounts, and payment methods
- Collect customer feedback to improve service quality
- Maintain cleanliness and proper table setup prior to and during the shift
- Report maintenance or housekeeping issues to management in writing
- Exhibit professional and friendly demeanor throughout the shift
