Job Description

Three Dots and a Dash is a unique speakeasy-style restaurant that offers a vintage island bar experience reminiscent of Trader Vic, Stephen Crane, and Don the Beachcomber. With its secret alleyway entrance and subterranean ambiance, guests are transported to a glamorous bygone era. The restaurant is adorned with Polynesian artifacts and boasts a rum-soaked menu featuring over two dozen classic, modern, and original tropical cocktails alongside Polynesian-inspired bites. Located underground, this venue provides an intimate and lively atmosphere where patrons can enjoy exceptional drinks and food in a setting that celebrates the spirit of island hospitality and tradition.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • effective communication skills in English
  • ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
  • willingness to complete required alcohol awareness training

  • familiarity with telephone etiquette and reservation systems

Job Duties

  • Warmly greet and seat guests in the restaurant
  • answer telephones and take orders, messages and reservations
  • available to work a variety of hours, days and shifts, including weekends
  • safely and effectively move chairs, tables, highchairs and booster seats
  • safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and equipment
  • ability to communicate in English in order to perform and follow job requirements in written and spoken direction
  • multitask calmly and effectively
  • work in a confined, crowded space of variable noise and temperature levels
  • able to move and lift up to 10 pounds, frequently move and/or lift up to 25 pounds, and occasionally move and/or lift up to 50 pounds
  • ability to stand and walk for an entire shift and move safely through all areas of the restaurant, which may include stairs, uneven or slick surfaces
