Job Requirements

  • Experience working as a host or in a similar role
  • Standing or walking up to 8 hours continuously
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs alone and up to 80 lbs as a team
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Knowledge of reservation and POS systems such as OpenTable and Toast POS
  • Customer service oriented with a friendly and approachable demeanor
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Greet guests immediately upon entry
  • Walk out from host stand to greet guests with a smile and Turkish welcome
  • Warmly greet and seat guests at desirable tables
  • Open front doors for guests when possible
  • Provide guests with menus and inform them of their server's name
  • Communicate special requests and celebrations to servers
  • Record guest names, party size, and provide estimated wait times
  • Answer telephone calls professionally and handle inquiries
  • Document large party inquiries and inform management
  • Maintain contact with servers to handle dining details and concerns
  • Check tables for availability, cleanliness, and setup
  • Maintain cleanliness of host stand and entry area
  • Ensure menus are clean
  • Record dining reservations and obtain detailed guest information
  • Inspect and clean restrooms regularly
  • Direct waiting guests to bar or fire pit
  • Offer food samples during downtime
  • Relay messages to servers and bussers
  • Thank guests upon leaving with a Turkish farewell
  • Attend employee meetings and suggest improvements
  • Assist employees to meet guests' needs and support operations
