Job Requirements
- Ability to take direction and work in a team environment
- Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
- Commitment to quality service and food and beverage knowledge
- Knowledge and comprehension of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures
- Basic English language and professional communication skills
- Able to independently lift to 15lbs for an extended period
- Ability to stand, walk and climb stairs with food items and dishes throughout the shift
- Must be able to walk and/or stand for 8-10 hours per day
- Hand-eye coordination
- Reaching, bending twisting, stooping
- Pushing and pulling
- Lifting overhead
- Must be able to climb stairs in restaurants that have multiple levels
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in hospitality or customer service roles is an asset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Friendly and outgoing personality
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends
Job Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide exceptional hospitality
- Manage dining room flow to accommodate wait times and guest needs
- Explain Nando's unique service style to guests in a friendly and approachable manner
- Recognize regular guests and make first-time visitors feel welcome
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues to ensure a positive experience
- Maintain knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Collaborate with team members to uphold service quality and operational efficiency
