Job Requirements

  • One year of experience in a high-volume restaurant setting with some leadership responsibilities
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Flexible availability open to working day shift, evening shift, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to remain on feet for a prolonged period
  • Well-groomed and neatly dressed
  • Helpful attitude and friendly demeanor
  • OpenTable experience preferred
  • Able to work in a standing and moving position for extended periods of time
  • Food Handler Certified

Job Duties

  • Provide a hospitable welcome and genuine thank you to all guests
  • Welcome guests with a warm greeting upon arrival and a genuine thank you as they exit
  • Always acknowledge guest’s right-of-way and actively assist guests with directions or special requests
  • Open doors for guests entering or leaving the restaurant
  • Maintain clean entryway and assist with table turn-over when needed
  • Provide guests with accurate estimated waiting time
  • Accommodate special seating requests for guests whenever possible
  • Notify server or manager of any special events the guests are celebrating upon being seated
  • Once seated, offer guests a menu and inform them of their server’s name
  • Assist customers with merchandise purchases
  • Communicate with servers, bartenders and management to maintain maximum efficiency of the restaurant
  • Maintain a consistent system for wait lists and monitor table turnover
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and all company policies
