Job Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age and willing to work hard and learn
- Flexible and long hours required at times
- Ability to stand during entire shift, exerting up to 20 pounds as needed
- Must be able to maneuver throughout the dining and kitchen area throughout the shift
- Ability to reach overhead, carry trays, handle hot and cold beverages, bend below the waist and communicate intentions to co-workers
- Approach all encounters with guests in a friendly, socially distanced and service-oriented manner
- Continuously clean high touch points throughout the restaurant and restrooms when using
- Maintain regular schedule in compliance with TooJay's business levels which may vary based on the needs of the restaurant and check list protocols per Covid-19 standards of cleanliness
- Maintain high standards of personal grooming, including wearing proper uniform and facial mask and gloves when/where required and as regulated
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is beneficial but not required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Comfortable standing for long periods and performing physical tasks
- Friendly and positive attitude
- Ability to work well in a team environment
Job Duties
- Greet guests courteously and promptly as they arrive
- Manage the seating of guests efficiently and accurately
- Communicate wait times clearly and manage guest expectations
- Engage guests with menu recommendations and answer questions
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining and host areas
- Assist in coordinating guest flow with waitstaff and kitchen team
- Uphold health and safety protocols including Covid-19 measures
