Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years of age and willing to work hard and learn
  • Flexible and long hours required at times
  • Ability to stand during entire shift, exerting up to 20 pounds as needed
  • Must be able to maneuver throughout the dining and kitchen area throughout the shift
  • Ability to reach overhead, carry trays, handle hot and cold beverages, bend below the waist and communicate intentions to co-workers
  • Approach all encounters with guests in a friendly, socially distanced and service-oriented manner
  • Continuously clean high touch points throughout the restaurant and restrooms when using
  • Maintain regular schedule in compliance with TooJay's business levels which may vary based on the needs of the restaurant and check list protocols per Covid-19 standards of cleanliness
  • Maintain high standards of personal grooming, including wearing proper uniform and facial mask and gloves when/where required and as regulated

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is beneficial but not required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Comfortable standing for long periods and performing physical tasks
  • Friendly and positive attitude
  • Ability to work well in a team environment

Job Duties

  • Greet guests courteously and promptly as they arrive
  • Manage the seating of guests efficiently and accurately
  • Communicate wait times clearly and manage guest expectations
  • Engage guests with menu recommendations and answer questions
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining and host areas
  • Assist in coordinating guest flow with waitstaff and kitchen team
  • Uphold health and safety protocols including Covid-19 measures
