- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Basic mathematics skills
- Experience working as a host or in food and beverage environment highly desirable

- Basic mathematics skills with the ability to add, subtract, multiply, or divide quickly and correctly
- Able to develop cooperative working relationships with others
- Able to stand for long periods of time
Job Duties
- Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival
- Open the front door for guests entering or leaving the restaurant when possible
- Record guest names and number of people in party when immediate seating is limited
- Call out the name and number of the party when tables become available
- Provide guests with estimated waiting time
- Accommodate special seating requests whenever possible
- Seat guests based on preferences and balancing customer flow in service stations
- Offer guests a menu and inform them of their server's name upon seating
- Inspect tables for proper presentation and completeness
- Keep accurate guest count to ensure efficient seating rotation
- Relay messages to servers and bus persons as needed
- Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return
