Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 1 year of hosting experience in a fast-paced, full-service restaurant
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift items up to 50 lbs
  • ability to manage reservation systems proficiently

  • 1 year of hosting experience in a fast-paced, full-service restaurant

  • ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the shift including frequent bending, lifting items up to 50 lbs, and stooping

Job Duties

  • Ensure all stations are properly stocked and set up before and during service and complete any additional opening duties
  • Manage all aspects of reservation systems such as confirmation messages, checking in guests, special requests and celebrations, table plotting, and updating floorplans
  • Lead guests to tables and follow Hogsalt standards for seating, distributing menus, and creating a great first impression at the table
  • Anticipate the needs of guests and provide consistent, genuine, and generous service by creating personal connections and using names whenever possible
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining room throughout service including proper maintenance of menus and other supplies
  • Provide a warm welcome to each guest who enters the restaurant and acknowledge their departure at the end of their experience
  • Address any guest needs or concerns promptly and communicate any complaints or issues with food or service to leadership
  • Complete all closing duties including closing sidework, general cleaning projects, and additional tasks assigned by leadership
  • Ensure all Hogsalt Steps Of Service not listed above are properly executed
