Job Requirements
- Previous host experience and/or restaurant experience preferred
- Experience with OpenTable software preferred
- Necessary State Food Handler's License(s) and Liquor Serving Permit(s)
- Excellent communication skills and positive attitude
- Attention to detail
- Ability to perform essential functions on computerized Point of Sale and reservation systems
- Working knowledge of dining and beverage service procedures
- Working knowledge of applicable liquor laws and regulations

Job Duties
- Warmly greet guests as they arrive, making them feel comfortable and valued
- Efficiently manage reservations, both online and via phone, ensuring accurate record-keeping and seating arrangements
- Continuously build and update guest profiles as new information is gathered
- Guide guests through a brief introduction to the menu upon seating and provide specific suggestions highlighting daily specials
- Keep track of available tables and seating arrangements, coordinating with kitchen and waitstaff to ensure smooth service
- Manage waitlists effectively, providing accurate wait time estimates and ensuring guests are seated promptly
- Answer guest inquiries about all Ground businesses, restaurant and pub menus, and events, offering recommendations and assistance
- Provide support to waitstaff as needed, such as taking to-go orders or assisting with bussing tables
- Maintain a clean and organized station
- Maintain current knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including menu changes and sold-out items
- Process guest payments using proper accounting and cash handling procedures
- Collaborate with kitchen, bar, and waitstaff to ensure seamless service
- Uphold high standards of Grounded Table for service quality and guest satisfaction
