Job Duties
- Greet members and guests entering the service areas or dining rooms and escort them to the table, open menus and place them on the table in front of each person
- May instruct servers to change linen or to reset tables when necessary
- Reserve tables for members and guests upon request
- May receive and adjust complaints concerning food or service
- Monitor the preparation of food and beverage products, as per recipe card standards, to ensure consistent quality, portion control and presentation
- Provide menu suggestions to the F&B Director
- Participate in the set up and breakdown of items for F&B activities
- Greet all members and guests with an immediate smile, eye contact and a verbal welcome
- If applicable, escort them to a table, pull chairs for ladies and present menus - open ladies first, from left to right
- Place settings are adjusted to the number of members and guests at each table
- Monitor that a courteous server greets the table within three minutes, offers beverages and observes timing, correctness, quality and presentation of the order
- Speak to all departing patrons extending a thank you and a concern for their satisfaction with food and service
- Monitor and/or participate to ensure that tables are reset within 5 minutes
- May conduct a physical inspection of the room and floor to ensure proper presentation
